WHERE THE MAP BEGINS TO MAKE SENSE

L’ Atelier Viajes — bespoke itineraries for travel with clarity, freedom, and meaning

Behind every route we design is a particular way of seeing travel, refined over more than four decades in the tourism industry.

This is the story of L’Atelier Viajes: where it comes from, what it believes in, and why we design the way we do.

Routes Designed with Intention

At L’ Atelier Viajes, we design with you, for you

We begin with you: what sparks your curiosity, the pace that feels right, and what deserves your time.

Then we look at the map.

Your Time Is Sacred

A journey begins long before you pack your bags

There is the time you have spent imagining it, the time it took to make it possible, and the days you finally managed to set aside to live it.

That is why we look at every route as a whole: your interests, the pace, the season, the distances. And we look for the thread that can give it meaning — a story, a landscape, a work of art, a connection that changes the way you see a place.

Sometimes the difference is staying one more night, or choosing a better-located base. At other times, it is about leaving room: to walk, talk, rest, or simply be.

Good travel design also means helping you make the most of the time you have chosen to give yourself.

WHY WORK WITH A TRAVEL DESIGNER

What Makes L’ Atelier Different?

Viajer@ – L' Atelier Viajes | Diseño de Itinerarios a Medida

WE BEGIN WITH THE TRAVELER

Everyone travels for different reasons: freedom, beauty, knowledge, legacy, discovery, nature, inspiration, or rest.

Our traveler archetypes act as an inner compass, helping us recognize those affinities and understand which experiences may hold more meaning for you.

We Choose Carefully

We research, compare, and filter.

An extra night, a well-chosen base, a smoother connection, or a small change in the route can transform the entire experience.

The aim is simple: less noise, better decisions..

We Look for Connections

History, art, landscape, literature, mythology, and culture help us see how places relate to one another.

In this way, a route becomes more than a sequence of destinations — it becomes a journey with meaning.

We Make Room
for Freedom

A well-designed structure gives you greater freedom as you travel.

You know what is worth planning ahead and what can remain open — for curiosity, rest, or the unexpected detour that ends up becoming part of the story.

Journeys That Took Shape

A travel philosophy gains meaning when you can see it come alive on the road.

Two real stories show how interests, memories, and different ways of travelling can become a journey of their own.

A journey inspired by Sissi, through lakes, abbeys, and poetic trails

Sofía · Northern Italy

Sofía had been putting off a journey for herself for years — one where she could move at her own pace and experience the places she visited in a more personal way.

Her youthful admiration for Sissi gave us a thread to follow.

From that affinity, we designed a route through Northern Italy connecting landscapes, history, and places linked to the Empress and to the Romantic sensibility of her world.

The journey became more than a collection of cities. It offered a particular way of seeing the landscape: following traces, noticing connections, and giving personal meaning to what appeared along the way.

When she returned, we asked Sofía what the journey had left her with. Her answer was a single word:

Connection.

Two ways of imagining a journey. One route that could hold them both.

Francisco and Bettina · The Camino on Two Wheels

She wanted to experience the Camino.
He dreamed of a motorcycle adventure.

The challenge was finding the point where both wishes could meet.

We designed a two-week, 2,960-kilometre route along less-travelled roads, bringing together history, landscape, and freedom.

The Camino remained part of the story, but from a perspective that also made room for movement, adventure, and discovery.

Each of them could recognise themselves within the same journey.

And Francisco put it this way:

"Bea understood my vision — even before I did.
The itinerary read like poetry ... and unfolded like magic."

Who’s Behind L’Atelier Viajes

Bea · Founder of L’Atelier Viajes

My curiosity about the world began in childhood, among my father’s stories, maps, and old tales.

Many years later, in a small mountain café, that curiosity inspired a phrase that has stayed with me ever since:

“The world is my classroom.
I travel to learn.”

Over more than four decades in tourism, I have learned that a good route needs to work in the real world — timing, distances, connections, and logistics — while also offering context, beauty, curiosity, and a story to accompany the journey.

My interest in history, art, mythology, and other ways of understanding the human experience gradually broadened that perspective.

L’Atelier Viajes grew from that combination.

Travel A Contracorriente

A Contracorriente grows out of three ideas we inherit from Romanticism: the curiosity of those who look at the world with wonder, the Blue Flower — that sense of something we cannot yet name, but still feel drawn to follow — and the search for beauty in nature..

To these, we add the inner compass: the ability to recognise what each traveler is seeking, and what may hold meaning for them at this particular moment.

From these ideas come four clear principles that also enrich the journey we design with you.
Here they are:

Travel at your own pace, with time and space to choose as you go.

A rhythm that leaves room to enjoy, rest, and be fully present.

With the place, your companions, and your own way of travelling.

History, art, and context that enrich your journey along the way.

All of this with respect for the cultures, communities, and landscapes that welcome us.

To travel A Contracorriente is to choose with attention.
